Questions About Requesting a Consulation
100% free, no strings attached. We believe that getting the right food for your dog starts with understanding their needs and that conversation shouldn't cost you anything. Whether you order from us or not, you'll walk away with real, useful guidance.
Once you submit your request, we will ask you to complete a short questionnaire to give us all the information we need to have a productive call and determine your pups needs. The assessment is based upon your dog's current weight, age, breed, and any known health conditions or allergies. If your vet has given you any dietary guidance or restrictions, that information is handy too. Don't stress if you don't have everything, Rebecca will walk you through it.
Custom blend pricing depends on the specific proteins and ingredients required for your dog's needs. Rebecca will walk you through exact pricing during your consultation once she understands what's needed. There's never any obligation to order on the call.

After your consultation, if you decide to move forward, we'll finalize your recipe and prepare your first batch fresh to order. Turnaround is typically 3 - 5 business days from order confirmation to delivery.
We recommend a gradual 7 - 10 day transition: start with 25% Premium Blend mixed into your dog's current food for days 1 - 3, increase to 50/50 for days 4 - 6, then 75/25 for days 7 - 9, and 100% Premium Blend from day 10 onward. We'll include a full transition guide with your first order.
Yes - Doug's Kitchen is real, fresh food with no artificial preservatives. It should be stored in the refrigerator and used within 5 -7 days of opening, or you can freeze portions for up to 3 months. We'll walk you through storage best practices when you order.
In our experience, picky eaters tend to become our biggest fans - real food is hard to resist. But if for any reason your dog isn't loving it or you're not satisfied with your first order, reach out and we'll make it right. That's our Happy Dog Promise.
